• Muting is essential for most drummers when playing and practicing at home. The TD-1KPX2 includes low-noise mesh-head pads for snares and toms, and an ultra-quiet FD-9 control pedal for hi-hats. And by swapping out your regular acoustic single kick pedal for an optional KT-9 beater-less kick pedal, you'll avoid the constant beater "thumps" that transfer vibrations and noise around you. This setup is so quiet that it can also be used for nighttime practice with headphones!
• Compact pads and tines with authentic hitting feel
• While the TD-1KPX2 pads and tines are compact, their performance is not compromised in any way. V-Pads PDX-8 8-inch and PDX-6 6.5-inch mesh heads feature Roland's amazing dual-trigger technology for precise and even simulation between head and rim. On the PDX-8 pad, the rim area expands the pad diameter to 10 inches, allowing for comfortable and quiet rim shots. The CY-5 cymbal and hi-hat cymbal pads offer 10-inch hitting surfaces and swinging movements for a natural response and excellent hitting feel. The cymbals have separate spring and edge triggering and support chokes for a true playing experience, while the hi-hats offer smooth and subtle tonal transitions from open to closed. The big story with the TD-1KPX2 is the ability to play double-kick patterns, thanks to the larger kick pad, which incorporates two beaters side-by-side when using an acoustic double-pedal setup.

A built-in USB-MIDI interface is included, making it easy to communicate with music software via a single USB cable.
